Is there assistance with medications?

Staff at Pioneer Memorial Home are not able to assist residents with medication. However, family members are welcome to deliver or arrange medications.

Is a COVID-19 test or vaccine required before a resident is admitted?

No. At this time, we are not requiring either a COVID-19 test or a vaccine for residents.

If an incident were to occur at night, would someone be available to assist a resident?

Yes. The Pioneer Memorial Home currently has about 20 employees, so there is a staff member in the building 24/7 in case of an emergency. Most rooms have an emergency room call system that will contact the staff if assistance is needed.

Does the Pioneer Memorial Home offer specialty menus for residents with dietary restrictions?

We currently do not offer specialized menus. Residents should know their own dietary needs, and which food options are right for them.

Can meals be delivered to an apartment if a resident is sick?

Yes. Up to 3 meals will be delivered. More can be acquired with a doctor’s note.

Is each individual apartment able to adjust its own temperature?

Yes, each apartment is able to control its own heating and cooling.

Is there on-site parking?

There is plenty of parking for each resident, but we cannot reserve parking. There are also a limited number of garages available with a monthly fee.

Is there TV and WIFI?

The Pioneer Memorial Home provides cable TV and WIFI, but each resident is responsible for connecting and paying for their telephone and any cable TV upgrades they may want.

Does the public library deliver books to residents?

The library circulates books located in our events area. Residents are able to take and read those books in their apartment.

What does a contract typically include?

The Pioneer Memorial Home does not require a contract, as we know that a situation can change quickly. However, we do ask for a two weeks’ rent after a person moves out in order to clean and repair the room.
